John Feinstein, one of the most influential sportswriters of his generation, has passed away at the age of 69. A best-selling author of over 40 books, Feinstein is best known for A Season on the Brink, his groundbreaking account of Bobby Knight’s Indiana Hoosiers during the 1985-86 season. His career began at The Chronicle at Duke University, and he continued to cover college basketball with unmatched depth, including a recent book on Mike Krzyzewski’s five national championships.
