We can’t waste time. There are no days off. We have a mission. We need economic empowerment. Real power. Real relationships. We have to become the best possible versions of ourselves. We have to compete at an elite level. We have to accept the challenge. There are no excuses. Practice extreme ownership and self accountability. We can’t put our future in someone else’s hands.
A “mentor” is someone with information that they can share with you. A “sponsor” is someone with power that they can use for you. We must prioritize sponsorships from the powerful people we aspire to be like. These relationships are more challenging to acquire. But remember, we only need one sponsor who is willing to guide us on our journey towards power, influence, and economic empowerment.
There are people who live great lives and we don’t know who they are. They aren’t famous. They aren’t influencers. They’re just people. It’s easy to get lost in the virtual world. And we forget that we don’t live forever. We don’t get unlimited opportunities to live. As far as we know, we get one. Sometimes we need silence. To think for ourselves. Understand ourselves. Nurture and love ourselves. To focus on our own goals and dreams. And to stop distracting ourselves. Judging ourselves. And comparing our journey to the journey of others. Sometimes we need to remember we are human.
We have to play to win. It’s not fair. But it is what it is. We were born into this game and we have two options. We can quit and sit on the sidelines while we watch other people win. Or we can be one of the winners. Either way, the bills have to be paid. Taxes have to be paid. We need healthcare, a place to stay, food, etc. We all contribute to the system. Why not find a way to make it work for us?
This is not a comeback. There is no announcement. Just a new standard. For a long time fear was in the way. Dressed up as timing, circumstances, reasons. It was fear. That’s done now. This is the documentation of what happens after the decision. The real work. No motivation. No fluff. No hand holding. If you’re looking for a sign to get started, this isn’t it. Go find that somewhere else. But if you’ve already decided and you’re in the work, you’re in the right place.
