How God Walks Us Through the Unknown
On this week’s episode of With a Splash of Jesus, Wendy Zahorjanski gives us some insight into her story and what the Lord has taught her in her cross country move. Wendy is a small-town girl who was led by God to move halfway across the world. Following the voice of God down unknown paths in foreign countries has been a wild ride. She has laughed, cried, bled and been, at times, hopelessly lost. There is nothing superhuman or super-spiritual about her, but she is willing to tell her story. All of it. In her book Hard is Only Half the Story she tells all. It is full of true stories from her life: the good, the mess-ups and the hard. It's all there. She is passionate about encouraging others who are stuck in the hard parts of their story. Hard is real, but so is its potential to enrich our lives. Especially if God is involved. Her mission is to use her own life experiences as encouragement to help others see the wins alongside the hard thing. By openly sharing her process of walking through moving to a foreign country: sadness, learning a new language, having a baby, building friendships, and much more she helps others see the promises hidden in the moments that feel too hard. Where Did You See God?
On this week's episode of With A Splash of Jesus, Paul Granger talks about his journey and his ministry and how God has given him a journey that he feels led to share with others. When asked what he does, Paul likes to say "ambassador of Christ", because he's learned that this job supersedes any other he may hold. One of the ways God has invited him to live out the call to "love God and love others" is through the "shepherding gift": providing pastoral support, cultivating authentic and accessible space for conversation and community, and advocating for those who may go unseen. Functionally, he has spent the last two decades serving with various ministries, and now serves full time alongside YWAM and other entities in loving his neighbors in authentic ways. He's a content-creator, whether it is his podcast "Where did you see God", writings, or videos. He loves spending time with his wife and kids, and they see their home -- which God gave them in a crazy way -- as an important piece of how they love their neighbors as a lifestyle.
