We live in the midst of a society that is desperately searching for hope. Like a blind man reaching for something, anything to hold on to to give him some perspective of where he is, our culture is searching for anything that might explain life and give hope. What is the hope for our culture? What is the hope for us? And where should the oppressed look for deliverance? What Mark 5:1-20 teaches is that Jesus can deliver you from all your oppression, and when he does, you will shout his mercy to anyone who will listen. Glory be to God for the Lord who is our salvation!
