We often hear things like this: “Just be kind!” Or, “Just do the right thing.” Or, “Be true to your word.” The problem is that even though these are desirable qualities, most often they are not realities. Why not? The reality is that the only one who can produce the qualities of kindness, and goodness, and faithfulness is God who is kind and good and faithful. As we continue our study of the Fruit of the Spirit we will look to the Scriptures to see what the Holy Spirit does to produce in us what we cannot produce ourselves.
