July 12, 2026 - Worship @ VPC - No Condemnation

Join us for this special outdoor gathering, the Second Sunday in the Grove, as we worship together in the beauty of the Redwood Grove. This intergenerational service invites us to engage our whole selves—body, mind, and spirit—as we continue exploring what it means to live and worship as a community of faith. This week’s message, “No Condemnation,” is drawn from Romans 8:1–11. Pastor Jenny leads us into this powerful passage, reflecting on the freedom we have through the Spirit—freedom from the law of sin and death, and a renewed identity rooted in being “in Christ.” Building on the contemplative and embodied spirit of last week’s service, we gather again in a space that encourages connection, reflection, and shared worship across all ages. June 28, 2026 - Worship @ VPC - From Stuckness to Stillness

Join us this Sunday as we reflect on the role of expectations in our lives and relationships. While expectations are natural, they often lead to disappointment—placing us at a crossroads between choosing love or fear. Through this message, we explore how love leads to understanding, compassion, and healthy boundaries, while fear can draw us into anger, competition, and disconnection. Especially in seasons spent with family and loved ones, these moments become opportunities for growth and grace. Each week invites us to notice the quiet work of the Spirit and to trust that love remains stronger than anything we face. May 17, 2026 - Worship @ VPC - The Flow of Hope

This Sunday, we’ll explore the hope we have in Christ and what it means to hold onto that hope in a world that often feels uncertain. As 1 Peter reminds us, people of faith are called not only to keep hope to ourselves, but to be ready to give an account of it — to name it, offer it, and point others toward the hope that lives in us. We’ll reflect on what it means to be people who carry hope openly and faithfully, especially when the ground beneath us feels unstable or the future feels unclear. Together, we’ll consider how God’s hope gives us strength, steadiness, and a message worth sharing with the world around us.

May 10, 2026 - Worship @ VPC - The Flow of Belonging

This Sunday, we invite you to join us for a meaningful time of worship and reflection around the theme The Flow of Belonging. Belonging is such a powerful word. It is one of our core human desires, something we all seek relentlessly, and a force that can shape both good and harm. We use belonging to welcome, but too often it can also be used to exclude. In this message, we’ll reflect on the beautiful truth that the belonging God offers is different: it is good, it never ends, it leaves the door open, and it keeps setting an extra seat at the table over and over again. We are especially grateful to welcome the Rev. Ron Werner to preach this Sunday. Ron has spent much of his ministry building understanding, welcome, and bridges of belonging, including through his work with the Together Lab in Portland, Oregon. His life and ministry have helped create spaces where people can experience deeper connection in their church, families, and communities. Through his message, we’ll be challenged and encouraged to live out belonging more fully in our own lives and to help build a more welcoming world. Come ready to be inspired, encouraged, and reminded that God’s invitation is always open.
