Day 17: Luke 22:43

43 And there appeared to him an angel from heaven, strengthening him.

Prayer Lesson: Jesus prayed and God sendt an angel to strengthen Him. We don’t know how this angel strengthened Jesus, but he did. It begs the question, does God send angels in response to our prayers? We do have an example from the Old Testament. According to Daniel 10, Daniel prayed for help and God sent Michael the angel to help him. One of the roles of angels is to help believers. Hebrews 1:14 says the following about angels, “Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?” Whatever it looks like in the spiritual realm, it would seem that one of the ways angels minister to us is in response to our prayers.
