Sam watched David Lynch's The Straight Story for the first time, such was the only Lynch movie that he hadn't seen before. We mostly talked about how much it makes us cry and what a dang sweetheart this movie is.
Dustin made Sam watch one of his favorite horror/comedies of all time in Friday the 13th part 6, and easily his favorite Friday the 13th movie. Listen as we talk about The finer points of establishing and maintaining a tone, as well as punching a guy's heart out of his chest.
Sam has been trying to get Dustin to watch The Warriors for decades, but Dustin never found the time. Well, he finally did for this episode and they had a lot to say about it, mostly about how masculinity and maturity are represented and discussed in the movie. We also talk about our mutual love of The Baseball Furies.
