Job has moved past the friends now. He is done, for the moment, addressing Eliphaz. He turns his face upward and begins to speak directly to God, and what comes out is one of the most raw and paradox-laden monologues in all of Scripture. It sounds, on the surface, like a man dissolving. But listen more carefully and you will find that it is actually a man who cannot stop believing, no matter how hard the evidence presses him toward disbelief.
