In this week’s episode of True Crime Unwind, we share the heartbreaking story of Sanjuana “Juana” Moreno- a 24-year-old Mexican immigrant and beloved sister, wife, and daughter living in Wharton, Texas. On August 9, 1988, Juana opened the Kwik Chek Drive-Inn for her early morning shift. Just a few hours later, she was found stabbed to death behind the counter, with only a small amount of money missing from the register.
