This week the assassination of Charlie Kirk reminds us all not just that life is short, but also that the war the apostle Paul describes is absolutely real. It's not right vs left - it's right vs wrong.

Regardless of how you process a tragedy like this, we know that our hope is in heaven. May the Lord give us the courage of the first martyr Stephen, the courage of John the Baptist in front of Herod, and not value our own lives so much that we compromise the truth and the Gospel.
