Talking Suicide Prevention With Our Friends From BJACH | The Diner on Today's Country 105.7!
Representatives from Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital recently stopped by Today's Country 105.7 to talk about an important topic: suicide prevention and the power of connection. Sgt. 1st Class Elizabeth Waltz and Maj. Johnny Dotson joined us on the air during Suicide Prevention Month to remind our community that checking in, reaching out and staying connected can make a difference. Suicide prevention isn’t limited to one month, and it isn’t only the responsibility of behavioral health professionals. We all have a role. A phone call, a conversation or simply taking the time to ask someone how they’re really doing can help someone feel seen, supported and connected. If you or someone you know is struggling: Call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Support is available 24/7. Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital Mental Health appointments: 726-780-2566 (tel:726-780-2566) 726-780-2567 (tel:726-780-2567) 726-780-2444 (tel:726-780-2444) 1585 3rd St., Bldg. 285, 6th Floor, Fort Polk Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. You don’t have to wait for a crisis to reach out for help — and you don’t have to have all the answers to reach out to someone else. Check in. Reach out. Stay connected.
