The Korean War

Note sull'episodio
The Korean War Armistice, signed on July 27, 1953, ended three years of intense fighting between North Korea and South Korea without a formal peace treaty. Supported by United Nations forces led by the United States, South Korea successfully resisted the invasion from the North, while China and the Soviet Union backed North Korea. The agreement established the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), which still separates the two nations today. Often called the "Forgotten War," the conflict claimed millions of military and civilian lives, yet its outcome preserved South Korea's independence and remains a significant chapter in the history of freedom and international cooperation.
