We are lucky to be joined by European giants of Quadruped Robot research Dr Mathieu Geisert and Dr Romeo Orsolino. Both Romeo and Mathieu worked at the Oxford University Robotics Lab, being published academic authors in perception and locomotion of quadrupeds (dog robots). We talked about how they got into such a niche area of expertise, what skills they think are most important, their experience working in engineering teams and what they get wrong when creating robotics as well as the future of dog robots and how they are perceived by people and popular culture.
