Michael Alig was once the self proclaimed king of the Club Kids, a group known for outrageous fashion, excess, and a nightlife built on spectacle and drugs. But behind the glitter and chaos was a darker reality. In 1996, Alig and his associates murdered fellow club kid and drug dealer Angel Melendez, a crime that would expose the violence, paranoia, and moral decay beneath the surface of the scene.
