Manson and his followers moved to Spahn Ranch in 1968. The rundown ranch served as a base for the group, offering them shelter and isolation from mainstream society.

During their time at Spahn Ranch, Manson exerted control over his followers through manipulation and psychological conditioning. The remote location provided them with a sense of autonomy, allowing Manson to further indoctrinate his followers into his ideology of an impending apocalyptic race war, which he called "Helter Skelter." We are still heading further downhill from here folks.
