It’s the most i-word of all adventure movies, and we are not coping. Raiders relaunched an entire genre, feeding the Lucas/Spielberg legend and inspiring a thousand imitations. Also in this episode: a Chewbacca connection, Karen Allen’s freckles, and a near miss for Tom Selleck. Join us. For more content, check us out on Instagram.
A Karen For Good | Big Trouble in Little China (1986)

Esplicito
A society bride with mad skills, angsty Chow Yun-Fat, the most emotionally mature desert bandit ever, and just Michelle Yeoh generally. Crumpy Take The Wheel | Hunt for the Wilderpeople (2016)
Esplicito
Spitting. Throwing rocks. Kicking stuff. All the signs of a bad egg — and a compelling protagonist. Little Snack-Sized People | Jurassic Park (1993)
Esplicito
There may not be much more to say about this absolute masterpiece, but that's not going to stop us! It's full of iconic shots, great gags, incredible performances, and amazing legs. In this episode, you'll learn more than you ever expected about how ILM created the dinosaurs and less than you'd imagine about Sam Neill's mysterious accent. Join us! For more content, check us out on Instagram.
Equal Opportunity Shower Scenes | Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001)
Esplicito
Does hot people doing great stunts make up for iffy dialogue and mile-wide plot holes? Sure! (Wait, how good are the stunts?) Lara Croft: Tomb Raider is inconsistent, but it also brought us action-hero Angie for the first time, so we as a society owe it a great deal. Also it has the bungee ballet scene, which buys at least 6 nonsensical lines from poor, miserable Daniel Craig. For more content, check us out on Instagram.
Honey, You’re Wearing A Bathrobe. | Stardust (2007)
Esplicito
Stunning landscapes, a truly moving love confession to a mouse, and Robert DeNiro in a corset. Charlie Cox getting a reverse haircut on a pirate ship in the sky. Stardust sounds insane on paper, but it not only works, it’s forking spectacular. Grab a Babylon Candle and join us for an underappreciated gem! For more content, check us out on Instagram.
I’ve Seen Things I Can’t Unhear | Uncharted (2022)
Esplicito
It's about time we do something recent! Uncharted was made to be a straight-up-the-middle adventure movie, and it does a lot of the things we love: include Tom Holland, feature a badass lady villain, deliver killer stunts, and take us to exotic locations. That said, there are some things that are examples of "not quality" as we so eloquently put it (*cough* Mark Wahlberg *cough*). Overall, we... enjoyed it? For more content, check us out on Instagram.
