Enjoy the quiet tonight.. Because a beast is heading straight for us. Blizzard warnings are up from Portland to Bar Harbor. This Nor'easter means business.
Right now you're sitting at 30 degrees under gray skies. Almost peaceful. That changes fast. Snow hits the southern coast by 10 P.M. And spreads inland by dawn. Then Monday becomes a full blown war.
Down along the coast, Portland takes 6 to 10 inches. The heaviest bands pound between 8 A.M. And 6 P.M. Gusts hit 50 miles an hour. Visibility drops to near zero. Your car in the driveway? Leave it there. Coastal flooding rolls in around the 1:53 P.M. High tide with 10 to 15 foot waves. Route 1 and I-95 south of Bangor could become impassable.
