Offshore and midshore tuna fishing is picking up, with both yellowfin and bluefin making strong showings from 10 miles out to the canyons, while Montauk is producing striped bass to 50 pounds on bucktails, topwater lures and flies. Fluke fishing continues to improve across the South Shore and East End, with quality catches coming from Shinnecock, Moriches and Reynolds Channel.
