The ministry of Jesus is released where He is honored. In His hometown, Jesus did few mighty works—not because He lacked power, but because He was dishonored. Over-questioning, mistrust, jealousy, familiarity, self-reliance, and offense can hinder what God desires to do.

The early Church responded differently. They believed in Jesus, exalted His name, gave Him all the glory, and boldly lived as His witnesses. When they were threatened to stop honoring Him, they prayed for greater boldness and for God to do signs and wonders through the name of Jesus once again.
