A Portrait of Love in Action

Knowledge, spiritual gifts, and active church involvement can easily be mistaken for genuine spiritual maturity. Yet, as Paul warns in 1 Corinthians 13, we can speak impressively, serve tirelessly, and defend doctrine passionately—and still remain completely devoid of love.

True faith is not validated by what we say, but by how others experience us. Love is an active, visible choice : it is patience when provoked, kindness without expectation, and grace in the face of conflict.

The critical test of our Christian walk is not how much theological knowledge we acquire, but whether we are growing more patient, forgiving, and Christlike over time. Strip away all religious titles and accomplishments —when people encounter you, do they merely see religion, or do they truly experience Jesus? ...
