At midnight, Boaz woke to find a woman at his feet in the dark. She said: "Spread your wings over your servant, for you are a near kinsman." The word for wings in Hebrew—kanaph—is the same word Boaz used when he prayed that God would cover her. She was asking him to be the answer to his own prayer.
