Luke Littler Makes Triumphant Return To European Tour | The 9-Dart Podcast | Episode 71

Lorenzo and Josh are back off a couple of weeks off ready to go for a thrilling edition of The 9-Dart Podcast, there is so much to cover. The boys start with the recapping of two European Tour events. Firstly in Hungary, Ross Smith bounced back from a disappointing World Series outing as Gary Anderson made a run to the final. Then in Czechia, the Luke's played off in another final with Littler making a triumphant return to the European Tour. Stephen Bunting's results has disappointed Lorenzo not as much as Leighton Bennett returning to play via LIT Darts in spite of an eight-year DRA ban. With one more Euro Tour before the World Grand Prix cut-off, we look at who can still make it as well as looking at the draw for the World Series Final. Note this episode was recorded before the news of Ilagan and Toylo's visa issues dropped. The boys review a successful Trans-Tasman Championship won by Mal Cuming after a great showing from the Aussies. James Wade Wins First World Series Title In Australia | The 9-Dart Podcast | Episode 70

The World Series Down Under has concluded with James Wade picking up his first ever World Series title in Wollongong last week. Aussie number one Brody Klinge made a fantastic run all the way to the final. Klinge beat elite calibre names such as Ross Smith, Gian van Veen, and Jonny Clayton - averaging over 96 in every contest. Littler returned to the pro-tour in search of making the Players Championship finals. The World Series of Darts Finals field has been confirmed, with FIVE Aussies taking part! Greaves, Sherrock, and Ashton all won on the Womens series as Jermaine Wattimena picked up PC27 and there are more big names playing at Modus Super Series.

Jonny Clayton Takes Title In New Zealand | The 9-Dart Podcast | Episode 69

The boys are back for another HUGE edition of The 9-Dart Podcast! It was go Jonny go in Auckland, as Clayton won the New Zealand Darts Masters trophy and was solid all weekend. Aussies Raymond Smith and Adam Leek also won games! The Australian Darts Association had another four big events, as Brody Klinge claimed two titles with Pusey and Comito also playing some good darts too. The inaugural Trans-Tasman Championship excitingly commences next weekend in Sandgate, Queensland - as the best ADA & DPNZ players will battle it out over multiple different events over three epic days of action with plenty of prizes on offer. Young Kaya Basal continues to flourish on the JDC scene, Gian van Veen jumps to World Number 2, as the Challenge Tour continues with Derek Coulson winning another event. Lastly, Lorenzo provides some insight on how the PDC can improve the World Series of Darts in 2027.

Luke Littler Domanites 2026 World Matchplay | The 9-Dart Podcast | Episode 68

An amazing week at Blackpool saw Luke Littler take out the World Matchplay title. With a tournament average of 111, only Phil Taylor's 2009 European Championship, stands as a statistically better performance for a PDC major. Lorenzo and Josh discuss Littler's extraordinary performances including a 9-darter against Nathan Aspinall and wonder if he can swoop every major. Other talking points from the Matchplay include van Dujvendobe's run to the semi-final and Menzies upsetting Luke Humphries before having to withdraw during his second round game. There is plenty happening in the world of darts home and aboard including a successful WDF World Masters and Derek Coulson finally winning a Modus Super Series champions week.

After a week off, the boys are back in town to preview the 2026 World Matchplay at the glorious Winter Gardens in Blackpool. The field is now confirmed, as the boys cast their predictions for each quarter, including who will ultimately be victorious. There is undoubtedly some fascinating encounters, with some seeds in potential danger in getting knocked out in the first round. In other news, Krzysztof Ratajski had a stellar weekend winning the European Darts Open, and Cameron Menzies and Gabriel Clemens won PC's events. Damon Heta had a great weekend as Danny Noppert copped some backlash online through some keyboard warriors. Adam 'Peek' Leek made history for himself, qualifying for the Hungarian Darts Trophy through having making the Top 20 in the ET11 Qualifier. The US Darts Masters was successfully held at Madison Square Gardens as Luke Humphries defends the title with a great win in the final over Luke Littler. The North American Championship was won by Adam Sevada as Jim Long announces he will not play on the Pro Tour next year. At home, Joe Comito and Tim Pusey dominate the latest weekend of the ADA as the race for the ANZ Premier League heats up.

Is Wessel Nijman In The Premier League Conversation? | The 9-Dart Podcast | Episode 65

Josh, Lorenzo and Shane are back for this week's 9-Dart Podcast. Nijman made history as the first winner in Slovakia. This opens up the question: could he be a 2027 Premier League player? The boys had a special guest today with Shane making his 9-Dart Podcast debut to dissect all in the World of Darts this week. The best story was England winning the 2026 World Cup of Darts but it did not come without a challenge along the journey. The Aussies unfortunately got knocked out of their group losing to both the USA and Canada in a disappointing campaign. Trinidad and Tobago won their first ever game on the World Cup stage in a thrilling game against seeded nation Latvia! There was more troubles with the BladeX board as Gary Anderson and Martin Schindler provided some commentary on it in a negative light. Nijman picked up ANOTHER PC Title, as Rob Cross picked up one this morning. Heta and Leeky played very well with Leeky making a Top 16 for the very first time this year including beating Gian van Veen!

MVG Wins Nordic Darts Masters As World Cup Nears | The 9-Dart Podcast | Episode 63

Michael van Gerwen overcame some poor performances in his first couple of matches to take another World Series of Darts title at the Nordic Darts Masters. Not even an Elvis impersonator could put him off as he beat Luke Humphries in the final who took exception to whistlers in the crowd. But both Lorenzo and Josh are pumped up for the World Cup of Darts and go through group stage predictions, how many upsets could we see this year? Also, at long last, we finally have the ANZ Premier League dates and ticket information for what will be a lightly smaller edition this year. Derek Coulson is dominating at Modus, Bialecki had a huge week on the Development Tour but first Lorenzo announces a brand new project he has spent more than a year working on.

Luke Littler Wins All-Time Classic Premier League Final | The 9-Dart Podcast | Episode 62

It was an incredible finish to the 2026 Darts Premier League as every possible leg was played and the fans sure got their moneys worth. Three see-sawing contests on the night that led to the ultimate climax - another Luke vs Luke final. Luke Littler was victorious over fellow friend Luke Humphries in an exhilarating final at the O2 where an incredible last-leg decider determined the outcome in another classic between the two. Elsewhere, Luke Woodhouse prevailed in the Baltic Sea Darts Open with a great weekend of action. Jeffrey De Graaf and Ross Smith won PC events, as young Henry Coates impressed off the challenge tour making deep runs in both events. Unfortunately Damo and Leeky got knocked out in the first round although Damo did impress on the Euro Tour.
