Good afternoon. Texas. I'm Aaron Jolly. Folks, if you stepped outside today and thought your calendar was lying to you, you're not crazy. Texas is currently stealing a page straight out of mid-April. We're sitting at a spectacular 80 degrees under full sun, running a whopping 58 degrees above normal. In the next 24 hours. Here's what's happening. A big ridge of high pressure is building in from the west, forcing air to sink and warming us up nicely. Meanwhile, those southerly winds are acting like a conveyor belt, pumping warm Gulf moisture right into our backyards. Down in South Texas, you're feeling the heat the most. Highs near Laredo and Corpus Christi are topping out at 88 degrees, pushing right up against record territory. Central Texas isn't far behind. Austin and San Antonio are looking at 87 degrees with plenty of that bright sunshine.  ...
