The first call to being a vessel of change is to become a new cruse or container. To be made new God has to remake you into a vessel that is different from who you are now. For God to use us to bring change we must first be emptied of all the old life. We must bring ourselves so that God can produce a change in us that we then can influence a change into others. Have you been made new? The second aspect of this is God's liberty. When we are made new God frees us from the old. Our liberation in Christ is how we can bring liberation to others. Have you been delivered so that you can help bring others into deliverance?
