Note sull'episodio
đŽTonight, we step quietly into a small room located in a quiet ward in the eastern half of Changâan, nearly 1,300 years ago, in the height of the Tang Dynasty.
In the loom room within a quiet ward, an elderly weaver sits at her wooden loom as early summer rain falls in a water curtain from the deep roof eaves, the lamp steady at her side and the long night open before her. She guides the shuttle through pale silk, pass by patient pass, pausing at the doorway to watch the water curtain fall through the still night air, and sipping plain tea as the brazier glows quietly at her feet.
The ward grows still outside, while inside the room three gentle anchors hold â the warmth of fading coals, silk steady under patient fingers, and rain at the eaves.
Settle in, relax, and drift gently into sleep.
