Welcome to the Streets A&R Podcast for Episode 94! It's kind of an oxymoron to say 'words can't describe our guest' when the guest is literally an amazing poet! We sat down with the amazing poet, activist, and lover of people, Aja Monet! During her tour for her debut album, "when the poems do what they do", she sat with us and discussed the importance of poetry in the oral tradition, how love is not only needed, but a human right for all people, and what it means to be in the midst of and under the tutelage of revolutionaries such as Dr. Angela Davis and Saul Williams.
