Fear God, Not Man: Why Christians Should Never Fear Man

“The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.” — Proverbs 29:25 (KJV)

One of the greatest battles Christians face is the fear of what other people think, say, or may do to us. We can fear rejection, criticism, persecution, embarrassment, losing relationships, losing opportunities, or standing alone.

But Scripture repeatedly teaches us that God's people are not to live controlled by the fear of man.

The Christian's confidence is not found in the approval of people. It is found in the sovereignty, presence, power, and promises of God.
