At some point, almost everyone says it:

“I’ve outgrown fairytales.”

It’s said casually.

Confidently.

As if it marks emotional maturity.

But what does that actually mean?

Do we truly outgrow them?

Or do fairytales outgrow the version of us that once needed them in their simplest form?
