Amazing Stories from the Cultural Learning Group - Part 2
In Part 2, another former participant of Cultural Learning Group came on to reflect his experience with this ministry and its impact on his spiritual formation. In 2016, Chris Bertelli openly identified himself as a white male Republican, and the reaction was…the reason for having this podcast.
Amazing Stories from the Cultural Learning Group - Part 1
This is the first of a two-part episodes of some of the personal stories shared in a church ministry called Cultural Learning Group. The idea of CLG was imagined by Allison Carlos who witnessed how the political culture in 2016 permeated even the church, and fractured the Christian fabric that mandates “love one another.” The original purpose of this ministry is for the participants to learn to intentionally listen to the personal stories of others without judgment. While each stories told in this group is precious because of the transparency and vulnerability, some stand out among others for their unique nature. I would like to thank the owners of these stories who came on the podcast to be interviewed or to re-tell their stories. Their courage and sincerity are much appreciated. This episode is produced by Allison Carlos, Dick Laine, Michael Zacharia, and Paul Yin.

Sermon: The way of the cross
This sermon was preached over the summer of 2021 at Oak Hills Church in Folsom, California. The preacher brings the audience from the present to the past and back to the present again to explain God plans to use redemptive suffering’s instead of power and violence to bring forth the kingdom of God, and how that may form our assessment to the assault on the capital on January 6, 2021.
