There are 2 foundational assumptions in the life of a believer. The first foundational assumption is that we are to trust in God. We live a real life that has real struggles and we are to trust God even in the middle of those struggles. I must avoid trusting in myself and rather I will trust in God. The second foundational assumption is that I will not find my value in what this world offers, my significance comes from God. People often find value in work, but value doesn't come from there it comes from God.
