Good afternoon! I'm Aaron Jolly. And welcome to the Rhode Island Weather Podcast. It's Sunday, February 22nd. Folks, I'm not going to sugarcoat this. A historic blizzard is heading straight for Rhode Island tonight. And it could rank among the top five snowstorms Providence has ever seen. We're talking 18 to 25 inches statewide. This is the real deal. Right now you're enjoying a deceptively calm 37 degrees in Providence. Soak that in. By tonight, everything changes. Snow starts falling along the coast around 7 PM. Inland areas see it by 8. Then between 11 PM and 11 AM Monday, this storm detonates. Snowfall rates hit 2 to 4 inches per hour. Winds scream to 60, even 70 miles an hour. Whiteout conditions. The kind of storm where you literally can't see your mailbox. Providence crashes to 27 degrees tonight with 10 to 14 inches piling up. Wind gusts  ...
