But the moisture train is rolling in from the east. And it's about to get interesting. Metro San Juan gets hit first. Showers arrive by late morning. Highs climb to 81 degrees. East winds blow at 17 to 21 miles an hour, gusting to 28. That umbrella you forgot yesterday? You'll need it today. Head south toward Ponce and the heat cranks up. Highs hit 88 degrees. Scattered showers pop by midday. Winds gust to 32 at times — enough to turn your umbrella inside out. Now the west coast. That's where things get serious.
