This episode follows what happened next: a bookstore, Xenophon's accounts of Socrates, and a pointed finger toward the Cynic philosopher Crates of Thebes. We recount the clash between the modest, introverted Zeno and the shameless Cynics, including the lentil soup humiliation in the Ceramicus that showed Zeno why cynicism could not be his final destination.
