Stevie Ray Vaughan was a legendary American musician who spearheaded the blues revival of the 1980s. Emerging from the Austin music scene with his band Double Trouble, he gained international fame following a standout performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival and collaborations with David Bowie. Despite a public battle with drug and alcohol addiction, Vaughan achieved sobriety and released several critically acclaimed albums that blended Texas blues, rock, and jazz.
