When God Calls You Out of the Noise and Back Into His Presence

In the opening conversation of The Theology of Quietness, Berry Mwamba explores one of the most powerful invitations in Scripture:

“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10

But biblical quietness is not weakness.

It is not passivity.

And it certainly does not mean doing nothing.

Quietness is surrendered strength in the presence of God.

Psalm 46 speaks of mountains shaking, waters roaring, nations raging, and kingdoms falling. Yet in the middle of all that movement, God gives an unexpected instruction:
