Karina is an independent director of the Italian multinational energy company, Eni. She also chairs the Governing Board of the Climate Governance Initiative and is a Governor of the CFA Institute where she chairs the ESG Working Group of the Investment Sub-Committee and serves on the Governance Committee. She is best known as a corporate governance expert but not many corporate governance experts become an independent director of a major multinational energy company.
