This week we talk with author Susan Cushman about her new book titled "John and Mary Margaret". A book that tackles the world of race relations in the 1960's South, namely between two Ole Miss college students who fall in love. We learn about what inspired her to write the book and how parts are reflective of her own upbringing. There is a theme in the book about Alzheimer's and Lewy Body Dementia as well that we speak on. We also talk about how the writing process works for her and tips she has for others. This was a thought provoking interview and one I think everyone can learn something from.
