We’re waking up to dense fog across the southeast, with visibility dropping to a quarter-mile in spots. If you’re driving this morning, take it slow and keep those headlights on. That gray blanket should lift by mid-morning, setting the stage for a warm, wild day. Here’s what’s happening statewide. The Piedmont wakes up to patchy fog until about 10 A.M., then sunshine fights its way out. You’re looking at a high of 79 degrees — that’s 32 degrees warmer than usual for early March.
