Today’s reading takes us to Exodus 19, where God brings His people to Mount Sinai and declares why He rescued them: not merely to take them out of Egypt, but to bring them to Himself. Before the law is given, God calls Israel His treasured possession, a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation—language Peter later echoes as he reminds the church who we are in Christ.
