Good evening. Nevada. I'm Michael Mosby. Folks, the wind is the main character today. And it's acting like it owns the place. A High Wind Warning is in effect for Elko County until 11 P.M. Tonight. Here comes west winds hitting 30 to 40 miles an hour, with gusts that could reach 60 miles an hour. These are dangerous conditions. That kind of force will snap tree branches and knock down power lines. Plus, blowing dust could drop visibility to near zero at times, secure those loose patio furniture and trampolines now before they take flight. Elsewhere, a Wind Advisory covers much of central and northern Nevada, including White Pine and Humboldt Counties. Gusts could hit 50 miles an hour here.
