We've got a massive temperature spread statewide today. Down south, you're basking in 77 degrees under clear skies. That's ten degrees above normal for early March. Up north? Reno tops out at 69, but Ely starts the day shivering at 28 degrees. The real story is the wind. The Sierra ridges are getting hammered today. Gusts are peaking at 80 miles an hour up there.
