Stagione 3

Brother Beat w/ Christian Carter
BROTHER BEAR with Christian Carter 🐻 What happens when addiction becomes part of your story before you’re even old enough to understand what it is? In this episode of Mondays Are A Mother, we sit down with Christian Carter for a deeply personal conversation about addiction, family, recovery, and identity. Christian takes us back to the earliest moments he can remember being aware of addiction and the ways it shaped his life and impacted his family—especially his sister. He shares his own journey, the realities of finding his way through addiction, and what recovery has meant for him. We also dive into something that doesn’t always get talked about: growing up biracial in a small town, looking like everyone around you while simultaneously feeling different. What does it mean to find yourself when you don’t always feel like you fit neatly into the world around you? This conversation is about more than addiction. It’s about family. Identity. Belonging. Breaking cycles. And learning that sometimes the things that make us feel different are the very things that make our stories worth telling. Come sit with us for Brother Bear. 🐻 🎧 New episode of Mondays Are A Mother. . merch now available with Kaylee’s Creation IG :https://www.instagram.com/kayleescreations2019?stkn=NDd1MG1vc3ZrcTNz Listen here: https://rss.com/podcasts/mondays-are-a-mother/ Youtube: www.youtube.com/@MondaysAreAMother Instagram:@mondays_are_a_mother Facebook: Mondays Are A Mother Want to guest star on the show? Tic-Tac-Nope! w/Amber Danielle
Episode Title: Tic-Tac-Nope! Last week we sat down with Former Co-Host and long time friend Kaila Wink to discuss the fall out in family relationships that have been impacted by addiction. This week we sit down with someone else, who also’s also been impacted and we needed their perspective. This week we sat down with Amber Danielle, single Mom of3, Micro influencer, and former classmate. Amber discusses the relationships between Cory, and Edwin, and where are they now in their co-parenting journeys. Kaelynn shares her struggles with coparenting dynamics and the unspoken exceptions that she feels play into her personal relationships. Oh Brothers, Where Art Thou? w/Kaila Wink
This week on Mondays Are a Mother… After recapping last week’s conversation with Taryn, we’re shifting gears and sitting down with Kaila Wink, former podcaster and host of Girlie Talk Podcast. Kaila gets real about the impact recovery can have on siblings when everyone is on a different journey. We talk about her relationship with her older brothers, how those relationships have evolved, and the moments that ultimately created a rift between them. Because sometimes loving your family doesn’t mean you’re always on the same page—and sometimes the hardest part is understanding that everyone’s path to healing looks different. What really happened between Kaila and her brothers? What caused the distance? And can relationships survive when everyone is fighting their own battles? You’ll have to listen to find out. 🎙️ New episode of Mondays Are a Mother — where the conversations are honest, messy, and never quite what you expect. ⚠️ LISTENER DISCRETION IS ADVISED. ⚠️ This week on Mondays Are a Mother, I’m sitting down with Taryn Lynae, a domestic violence advocate who is sharing her story of navigating the system after a not alleged (because it really happened and we’re not afraid of him either) domestic violence incident involving Peter. Taryn takes us back to the night everything happened—the messages, the moments that followed, and what it has been like trying to navigate a case that is still currently open. We talk about her experience with the Davidson County District Attorney’s Office, the moments when she feels the system failed her, and what happens when the people and institutions you expect to protect you leave you feeling unheard. This isn’t just a conversation about one case. It’s about advocacy, accountability, navigating the aftermath of abuse, and finding your voice when you feel like no one is listening. Taryn isn’t just telling her story—she’s using it to advocate for others. This episode contains discussions of domestic violence, alleged abuse, trauma, and an ongoing legal case. Listener discretion is strongly advised. 🎙️ Mondays Are a Mother Because sometimes the conversations we need most are the ones that are hardest to have. Stagione 2

After the reset comes the real work. This week, I’m sharing what it’s been like to update my life instead of trying to reinvent it. From stepping outside my comfort zone and saying yes to new opportunities, to staying committed to the routines and schedule I’ve worked so hard to build, this season is all about growth with intention. I’m talking about the fear that comes with change, the challenge of maintaining balance when everything feels unfamiliar, and learning that progress doesn’t require perfection. Sometimes the biggest win is simply staying on course while your confidence catches up. If you’ve ever felt torn between playing it safe and chasing what’s next, this episode is your reminder that you can honor your growth without abandoning yourself. Tip of the Week: Growth isn’t measured by how comfortable you feel—it’s measured by your willingness to keep showing up even when it feels unfamiliar. Monday Mama Mantra: I can embrace new opportunities without losing myself. Balance isn’t about standing still; it’s about moving forward with intention.Listen here: https://rss.com/podcasts/mondays-are-a-mother/ Youtube: www.youtube.com/@MondaysAreAMother Instagram:@mondays_are_a_mother Facebook: Mondays Are A Mother Want to guest star on the show? After the accountability tour came the mental reset. This week, I’m talking about what happens after you’ve owned your mistakes, sat with the consequences, and realized life isn’t going to pause while you figure it all out. Sometimes healing doesn’t look like a breakthrough—it looks like making do with what you have while building something new. There were tears, uncomfortable truths, and a lot of letting go of the version of life I thought I’d have. But there was also peace in choosing to stop fighting reality and start creating a new path forward. If you’ve ever felt like you’ve had to rebuild while your heart was still catching up, this episode is for you. Because, let’s be honest… be girls be crying—but we also keep going. 💡 Tip of the Week Protect your peace without apologizing for it. Not every text needs an immediate reply. Not every invitation deserves a yes. Not every opinion requires your attention. The more you protect your time and energy, the more you have to give to the people and goals that truly matter. 🌻 Monday Mama Mantra "I release the pressure to be everything for everyone. I choose peace over proving, progress over perfection, and purpose over people-pleasing." A little reminder: You don't have to earn your rest, explain your boundaries, or shrink yourself to make others comfortable. This week, choose yourself without guilt. Some weeks test everything you thought you had under control. This week, I’m sharing what felt like living through my own version of Dante’s Inferno—breaking promises I made to myself, from celibacy to sobriety, while somehow still showing up on the evening news advocating for children. On the outside, it looked like I had it together. Behind closed doors, I was unraveling. This episode isn’t about excuses—it’s about ownership. I’m talking openly about making mistakes, facing the consequences, and choosing accountability over shame. Healing isn’t always a straight line, and sometimes the hardest part is admitting when you’ve lost your footing. If you’ve ever felt like your private struggles didn’t match the face you showed the world, this conversation is for you. Because taking ownership isn’t the end of the story—it’s where the rebuilding begins. 💡 Tip of the Week Don’t wait until you “feel ready.” Most growth happens while you’re figuring it out. Send the email, apply for the opportunity, make the phone call, or take the first step. Confidence is usually the result of action—not the requirement for it. ✨ Monday Mantra “I don’t have to have all the answers today. I only have to take the next right step. Every small action I take is building the life I’m working toward.” Listen here: https://rss.com/podcasts/mondays-are-a-mother/ Youtube: www.youtube.com/@MondaysAreAMother Instagram:@mondays_are_a_mother Facebook: Mondays Are A Mother Listen here: https://rss.com/podcasts/mondays-are-a-mother/ Youtube: www.youtube.com/@MondaysAreAMother Instagram:@mondays_are_a_mother Facebook: Mondays Are A Mother #podcast #singlemomstuggle #mondaysareamother #newepisode #podcasts
Not Like the Movies This week on Mondays Are a Mother, I’m sharing an update that feels straight out of a rom-com… until it doesn’t. After finally working up the courage to reach out to the mystery man, I got the answer I was hoping for—the feelings were mutual. But as quickly as the butterflies arrived, reality set in. Sometimes mutual feelings aren’t the same thing as a happy ending, and sometimes life reminds us that timing, circumstances, and real-world complications don’t care about the script we wrote in our heads. I’m also opening up about receiving disappointing news regarding the lawsuit and the emotional weight that comes with watching something you’ve invested time, energy, and hope into take an unexpected turn. This episode is about expectations versus reality, learning to sit with uncertainty, and accepting that life isn’t always wrapped up neatly in a two-hour movie ending. Sometimes the win is simply getting the answer, even if it isn’t the answer you thought would change everything. ✨ Tip of the Week “When you’re carrying too much mentally, stop trying to solve every problem at once. Pick one thing you can do today that your future self will thank you for. Progress isn’t made by giant leaps—it’s built through small, consistent steps.” 💛 Monday Momma Mantra “I release what I cannot control, trust what I am building, and give myself permission to grow at my own pace. What’s meant for me won’t pass me by.” Listen here: https://rss.com/podcasts/mondays-are-a-mother/ Youtube: www.youtube.com/@MondaysAreAMother Instagram:@mondays_are_a_mother Facebook: Mondays Are A Mother #podcast #singlemomstuggle #mondaysareamother #newepisode #podcasts
Can I get over it already?
Episode Title: Can I Get Over It Already? Why do some heartbreaks linger long after the relationship is over? And why do financial struggles seem to carry a weight that follows us everywhere? In this honest and vulnerable episode, we dive into the emotional burden of carrying both financial stress and unresolved grief from a relationship that ended years ago. When bills pile up, dreams feel delayed, and memories resurface unexpectedly, it’s easy to wonder, “Shouldn’t I be over this by now?” Together, we’ll explore the complicated reality of healing—how grief doesn’t always follow a timeline, how financial pressure can amplify emotional wounds, and why letting go isn’t as simple as making a decision. Through personal reflection and candid conversation, this episode offers reassurance, perspective, and a reminder that healing is rarely linear. If you’ve ever found yourself mourning a chapter you thought was closed while trying to survive the demands of everyday life, this conversation is for you. Because sometimes moving forward isn’t about forgetting—it’s about learning how to carry the lessons without carrying the weight. Tune in for a raw discussion about heartbreak, financial hardship, self-compassion, and the question so many of us quietly ask ourselves: “Can I get over it already?” 🎙️❤️ Listen here: https://rss.com/podcasts/mondays-are-a-mother/ Youtube: www.youtube.com/@MondaysAreAMother Instagram:@mondays_are_a_mother Facebook: Mondays Are A Mother #podcast #singlemomstuggle #mondaysareamother #newepisode #podcasts
