Step outside right now and five degrees slaps you in the face. Wind chill? Minus five. But here's the kicker — tonight, winter splits this state in half.
Up north, snow rolls in between 1 A.M. And 5 A.M. Duluth wakes up to one to two inches and winds gusting to 30 miles an hour. Southern Lake County? You're under a Winter Storm Warning for five to eight inches — enough to wreck Tuesday's commute. Meanwhile, down south, the Twin Cities stay bone dry today. Sunny skies, high of 20 degrees. Tonight gets weird. Temperatures rise overnight — yes, rise — climbing from 5 degrees at dawn to 20 by Tuesday at 3 P.M. Then a clipper drags through.
