For our third installment of our Zorro series we’re going back to the very beginning of Zorro, and even before. We’re taking a look at Johnston McCulley’s 1919 book “The Mark of Zorro”. Originally titled The Curse of Capistrano, the book was retitled The Mark of Zorro after the smashing success of the first Zorro film. We get into some of the possible precursors to Zorro, including Robin Hood, as well as an even earlier Masked Rider, and The Scarlet Pimpernel, a character designed to drive Keigen crazy.
