We like being “balanced” people. We are hesitant to be too engaged, too committed, or too devoted to anything. But when it comes to the Church and the work of the Gospel, “balanced” can be replaced with apathetic and sinful. God calls all of us, not just some of us.
In the Church, we are used to thinking about Jesus as King, rightfully so. Though is it possible we only think about Jesus as King so we can ignore his Priestly and Prophet natures?
Sometimes, when we think about the word judgment, we feel uneasy. Our gut wants to say we ought to stay far away from that. But what if judgment is part of how Jesus is ushering in the New Creation?
