Good evening! I'm Aaron Jolly. And this is the Massachusetts Weather Podcast for Sunday, February 22nd. Folks, I'm not going to sugarcoat this. A historic blizzard is bearing down on us tonight. And the National Weather Service is calling it extreme to destructive. This is the real deal. Light snow starts between 7 and 11 P.M. Tonight. By midnight, snow rates explode to 2 to 4 inches per hour. That's when blizzard conditions lock in along the coast. Winds will scream at 55 to 75 miles an hour. Visibility drops to nothing. The storm's peak hits Monday morning, 3 A.M. Through noon. A pivoting snow band parks over southeastern Massachusetts, dumping 2 to 3 inches per hour. Boston and the eastern half? You're looking at 18 to 24 inches. Some spots southeast of the city could see 30 inches. Push west toward Worcester. You're still catching 10 to 16 i ...
