Western Maryland is already heating up, hitting 62 degrees this afternoon. Thunderstorms are bubbling up there—yes, in March. Meanwhile. Central Maryland is stuck in the fog at 52 degrees. And Baltimore is sitting in the middle at 55 with that same stubborn low cloud.
Tonight brings the drama. A powerful storm system rolls in after 7 PM, packing heavy rain and thunderstorms statewide. Western Maryland gets hit first—storms are likely by 8 PM—bringing strong winds and localized downpours. The severe threat stays west of I-81, but everyone sees the rain.
