In this solo playtest, I created and played through three scenes in Barleytown: an underground mine where a spreading sickness was revealed to be deliberately nurtured, a tense journey through the crowded city where social pressure and violence threatened exposure, and a harvest festival filled with opportunity and hidden danger.
Each scene was built step by step using the system’s scene-crafting tools, from challenges and vignettes to journeys and stakes. Together, they formed a coherent arc centered on survival, information gathering, and long-term ambition in a living town.
