The Trump policy on rounding up students who are vocally critical of Israel is a disgusting look, even by his administration’s very low standards. Using the State Department as the enforcement arm for the removal of free speech is a slippery slope that eventually leads to the mass deporations of thought criminals who simply disagree with the government’s views towards the Middle East. Silicon Valley plays an important role in this dangerous trampling of the 1st Amendment, as they often do, with social media companies handing over evidence of posts, likes, retweets, friends, groups, and other digital fingerprints left behind online.
